This may be of interest from the American geographers political ecology group:
Hi all (and apologies for crossposting),
The Political Ecology Working Group at the University of Kentucky is running an online project to publish short essays on key ideas, topics, and debates in political ecology. For the first installment, we asked, 'what is political ecology?' The responses were largely excellent and have been posted on politicalecology.org.
For the next installment, we follow Peter Walker (2007) in asking, Where is the politics in political ecology?
Respondents are encouraged to answer this question by taking any approach they see fit- conventional or otherwise. Our single stipulation is that responses be around 300 words (artwork is also gladly accepted!).
We encourage a wide range of responses, from beginning graduate students to senior faculty, and we anticipate participation from diverse disciplinary perspectives.
To submit, please send your response to ukpewg [at] gmail [dot] com by Tuesday, December 13. Responses will be published shortly thereafter.
Best,
Patrick
